Hawkeye is finally here and fans got to see not one, but two episodes of the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe series! However, the double-episode premiere was more than just a special treat for fans. The first two episodes followed Clint Barton and his new companion as they took on the Tracksuit Mafia and eventually met their mysterious leader! SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
In Hawkeye Episode 1, it is revealed that Clint inadvertently saved the young Kate Bishop during the Battle of New York. The girl decides she wants to be a hero like him.
In the present day, Kate attends a gala with her mother Eleanor Bishop but she stumbles upon a black market auction featuring items taken from the Avengers compound. Just as Kate realizes her mother's fiancé Jack Dusquene and his uncle Armand are attending the auction, the Tracksuit Mafia crash the auction to retrieve a watch from the items.
Kate also takes the Ronin suit and goes up against the Tracksuits while wearing it. She also rescues a stray dog from the Tracksuits and escapes before trying to track Armand down. Upon checking his home, Kate discovers that Armand has been murdered and is cornered by the Tracksuits as she flees the crime scene. Luckily, she is rescued by Clint.
The second episode of Hawkeye continues with more trouble from the Tracksuit Mafia as they track Kate and Clint down to Kate's apartment, which they promptly set on fire. The two are forced to escape, leaving the Ronin suit behind. Realizing that there is too much danger, Clint sends his children home while Kate fails to convince Eleanor about her fiancé's involvement in Armand's death.
Soon, Kate realizes that Clint surrendered to the Tracksuit Mafia and sets off to rescue him. However, she is also captured and the Tracksuits inform their leader about Clint and Kate's capture. At the last moment, it is revealed that their leader is Maya Lopez.
It's a truly exciting premiere for Hawkeye that has everything we wanted: Clint, Kate, Lucky the Pizza Dog, the Tracksuits, and Echo. But what does Maya want with Clint and Kate? We'll find out next week.
