Harrison Ford Shares Advice For The Young Han Solo Actor

Lucasfim is close to choosing the actor to play the young Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars standalone film being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie). The latest casting report narrowed the shortlist down to three actors. Although Harrison Ford said that he won't be involved in the film, he offered some advice for the next actor to play his iconic character.

Ford gave the advice during an appearance at The Ellen DeGeneres Show:

"Don't do it," Ford said to Ellen jokingly. "First, it seems like everything's going swimmingly, and you put in 25, 30 years, and then they just let you go. And they show you the door and say, ‘We're done with you, thanks very much.'"

The Han Solo spinoff film will be released in theaters in May 25, 2018.
