Harrison Ford Felt The Presence Of Carrie Fisher At Mark Hamill’s Star Ceremony

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill finally received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, and Harrison Ford and George Lucas were both there at to speak at the ceremony honoring the celebrity.

The only one missing during the awarding was Carrie Fisher, and though the Star Wars legend's absence was felt by everyone attending the event, Ford told the crowd (via Comic Book) that Star Wars' Princess was there in spirit.

"When thinking about today, I was really sorry that we don't have the other member of our trio here to celebrate with us. But I feel her presence," Ford told everyone who was there at the Walk of Fame to celebrate Hamill's new star.

Fisher inspired so many fans not just because she was Star Wars gutsy Princess Leia, but also because she stood for women and mental health outside the Star Wars franchise. Hearts broke all over the world when news broke that Fisher passed away back in 2016, and a hole's been left in the franchise ever since.

Though many expected The Last Jedi to write Leia off after Fisher's passing, it seems like General Organa lives to go on to Episode IX. Now, as fans wait for Episode IX's premiere next year, we wonder how exactly J.J. Abrams will send the princess off.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is getting its Digital HD release on March 13 and Blu-Ray on March 27.
