Harley Quinn Outshines Batman In Iconic Covers For 'Harley Quinn Day'

Harley Quinn has been stealing the spotlight from Batman for quite sometime, but that statement has become more literal with this month's Batman Day. To celebrate the anti-hero's 25th anniversary, the occasion has now been renamed Harley Quinn Day. As if stealing Batman's special day wasn't enough, Harley will also take away some of his spotlight in the Caped Crusader's most iconic covers.

Thus far, DC Comics has commissioned artist Ryan Sook to make three special covers that have Harley "share" iconic moments with the Dark Knight. The iconic covers are the second printing of Batman #608, Batman #251 and The Dark Knight Returns #1. Interestingly enough, the latter cover will be used for the free comic book that will be given out in Harley Quinn Day.

There will be three free comics for the special day: Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1, Harley Quinn Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1 and DC Super Hero Girls Batman Day 2017 Special Edition #1. Batman's special comic will include the first chapter of Batman Vol. 3: I Am Bane, while the Harley issue will have the first chapter of the Joker Loves Harley graphic novel. Finally, the DC Super Hero Girls comic will have a preview of DC Super Hero Girls: Out of the Bottle.
