The Han Solo spinoff movie promises to bring us to a new corner of the Star Wars universe that is neither occupied by the Empire or the Rebels, but by the "scum and villainy" where smuggler Han Solo came from. As always, Ron Howard has shared a new image from the set, and it looks like a fight breaking out in a cantina far far away.
With the success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm is going to continue on with their experiment of anthology films that are self-contained stories that take place in any point in the Star Wars timeline. The next movie in line for now is Han Solo, but afterwards, we're said to be getting an Obi-Wan spinoff film as well as an ensemble bounty hunter movie with Boba Fett in the middle of it.
A lot of fans are deeming this Han Solo movie as an unnecessary addition into the Star Wars mythology, but some (including myself) are opting to remain positive and wait till the movie comes out before passing judgement. There has also been a lot of hype surrounding Lawrence Kasdan's script for the film, so I guess it can't be that bad.
Ron Howard is still supervising reshoots for the Han Solo movie, but hopefully the film makes it's original set release date of May 25, 2018.
