In the latest Inside Infinite blog post released on the official Halo website, 343 Industries devs shared more details about the multiplayer aspect of the exclusive Xbox shooter. The studio explained how the Seasons will work in Halo Infinite. Similar to how they did it with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Seasons in Halo Infinite will last for three months and will let players earn a variety of different pieces of gear over that period. The first season of Infinite has already been revealed, and it's called Heroes of Reach. As the title suggests, it will connect to Bungie's final installment in the shooter franchise, Halo Reach.

The developers at 343 also revealed more details about armor customization. Players will be able to customize their own Spartan with high level of detail, similar to how it's done in previous Halo titles. Cosmetics can be unlocked as rewards in the Battle Pass track, and specific gear can be acquired via events that take place over the course of a given Season, such as the Yoroi armor, which was revealed in the new multiplayer gameplay trailer, will be available as a reward to players for completing events.

The devs also discussed how Halo Infinite players will be able to customize their Spartans and check their progress in the Halo Waypoint mobile app, which will let them edit their multiplayer avatar outside of the actual game. 343 also confirmed that the Waypoint app is getting a major upgrade, and it will continue to support other Halo titles other than Infinite.

The devs clearly have huge plans for the multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite. As a free-to-play game, it will surely have a huge player base, so it's important that they nail the customization options and Battle Pass rewards down well enough for the game to profit significantly.
