Halo 5 Cinematic Trailer Starring Nathan Fillion is Action-packed and Thrilling

Microsoft and 343 Studios have released a thrilling and action-packed cinematic opening for their upcoming sci-fi shooter Halo: Guardians, ahead of the game's official release exclusively for the Xbox One.

Instead of the iconic Halo protagonist Master Chief, the trailer focuses on James Locke, the leader of the Fireteam Osiris, along with his Spartan-IV squad. The video also features the digital version of geek icon/Firefly starNathan Fillion. With some action-packed footage featuring Locke and the Fireteam Osiris launching into action after the UNSC briefs them on their mission. The cinematic opening looks thrilling as the team batltes through a mountainous terrain filled with Covenant forces. It's definitely one of the most epic scenes I've ever seen, not just in the Halo series but also in the history of gaming. Watch the epic trailer below:

Launching this fall exclusively on Xbox One, Halo 5: Guardians continues the story of the Master Chief, and introduces a brand new central character to the Halo universe – Spartan Locke (as seen in the liveaction series “Halo: Nightfall”). Peace is shattered when colony worlds are unexpectedly attacked. And when humanity’s greatest hero goes missing, Spartan Locke is tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy.
Play as the Master Chief and Spartan Locke as the hunt plays out across three new worlds. Choose how to achieve objectives while playing solo with AI teammates or with friends in a 4-player cooperative experience. Also featuring new, massive-scale multiplayer mode that supports 24-player battles with both friendly and enemy AI dropping in. It’s nonstop action when you confront Spartans, Covenant, and Forerunners while trying to complete a variety of objectives.
