Hackers Leaked Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 4 Online Before TV Broadcast

Following the cyber attack that HBO experienced earlier this week, the fourth episode of Game of Thrones Season 7, titled The Spoils of War, has been leaked online today.

It's unclear whether the file is the final cut or just a rought edit since according to The Verge, it has the watermark ‘for internal viewing only'.

This isn't the first time a Game of Thrones episode got leaked before its broadcast date. Early episodes of Season 5 were leaked by press screeners before they aired on HBO, and just last season, an episode was leaked earlier than planned.

The Spoils of War episode marks the first time that a Game of Thrones episode has leaked as a direct result of a security breach.

The cyber attack saw 1.5 terabytes of information stolen from HBO, and it reportedly included Game of Thrones details for upcoming episodes but it wasn't intiially clear that it contained unaired episodes.

I would rather wait a few days to see a better quality video than settle with a low quality leak.

The episode will air this Sunday, August 6 on 9 p.m. EST.
