Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Will Have 4 Major Locations & Other Worlds

More cast and characters were part of the making of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. While we know that this immediately means a bigger movie, Marvel's big boss Kevin Feige gave a sort of break down on what exactly this means for the anticipated sequel.

Speaking to Comicbook.com on a set visit, Feige revealed a few of the planets that they settled on, as well as how location aims to expand the story.

"It's as big, if not bigger than the first movie. Sovereign is a planet, Bearheart is a planet; some of these names change, because they're not often referenced in dialogue, so it comes down to the location. We changed a lot of the names back and forth before we locked them in the first movie."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will put down four to five major locations, while two to three other worlds will also be part of the production. That already includes Ego the Living Planet, who is said to be both a character and a world in the movie. Since he is the father of Star-Lord, we may be seeing a lot more dynamic between the two, though this isn't necessarily the film's focus.

There's seriously a lot happening in the sequel, but from the near perfect score that it received, I'm sure all the nook stories were handled with care and precision for the kind of movie we've been waiting for.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be out in theaters on May 5. It's under the direction of James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, and Karen Gillan.
