Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Will Be the "Biggest Spectacle Movie of All Time", Says Chris Pratt

We're still months away from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but Chris Pratt already raised the hype for James Gunn highly-anticipated sequel to his 2014 Marvel film. We already know some of the film's story elements, and although no major plot details have been revealed yet, Pratt is already saying that it's going to be the biggest spectacle ever.

During an interview with Toronto Sun, he praised the sequel:

"It's a fabulous script. I think it's going to be --- I'm not using hyperbole, here - I think it's going to be the biggest spectacle movie of all time."

Now, our expectations are high, but with Gunn still on the helm, I won't be surprised that it will surpass the first Guardians film. The 37-year-old actor went on to talk about working on this franchise.

"I'm fortunate. I'm fortunate in so many ways. I couldn't count the ways, even if I tried. To be part of Guardians of the Galaxy is to be part of a franchise that really is so totally different. It's new and exciting and unlike anything people had seen before. There are a lot of superheroes out there, but I think we do something a little different. The genesis of these characters was in the Marvel Universe but we do something a little different, more cosmic, with Guardians of the Galaxy."

Pratt also discussed how Marvel operates when it comes to releasing details of their movies. While answering his "Really Frequently Asked Questions", he said:

"They have the universe drawn up for about 20 years. And they are pretty adamant about us allowing them to release information about the movies and what's coming down the pike, as they see fit."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is currently in post-production, and is set to release in theaters on May 5, 2017.
