Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to Feature 'Magnificent, Really Exciting' Scene with Chris Pratt & Kurt Russell

While Captain America: Civil War has been built up to be one of Marvel’s most dramatic and psychological thrillers to date, there’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on the other end of spectrum of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film appears as fun as they get both on and off camera.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn’s latest live stream on Facebook while on the set of the Marvel film attests to this fact.

He said:

We just shot a scene with Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell. I cannot show you - they are in their costumes - but it was magnificent and really exciting.
About an hour ago, I was sitting with Chris [Pratt] and I said, 'You know what, we're really truly blessed that we have this group of people around us. We're working with Kurt Russell who has been an absolute delight. He is really so committed to the role he is playing.

Jen Holland, the director’s girlfriend, shared Gunn’s sentiment and exclaimed:

Loved it. I think it's gonna be great.

That’s not the only “jaw-dropping” moment that the director had recently though. He also said shared a similar moment with Pom [Klementeiff], who plays Mantis. Gunn said she "fits the role so perfectly that it's shocking."

There’s only one moment I could think of that would make Russell and Pratt’s scene “jaw dropping” and that’s when Russell tells Star Lord he’s his father.

Needless to say, Gunn is one enthusiastic director.

Over the past few weeks, despite the hype on Civil War, Gunn and the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have not failed to keep fans excited for the upcoming sequel.

Most recent areZoe Saldana’s latest behind-the-scenes photos and Chris Pratt’s silly tour of the set.

Looking at their posts, it appears they’re having as much fun making the film as much as fans are excited to see it. Gunn’s enthusiasm seems to be rubbing off since I’m getting more antsy waiting for the film. Thankfully, the cast is hard at work quenching fans’ thirst for details and photos of this film.

Hopefully, we’ll see more coming from Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) or Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
