A potential huge spoiler for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has leaked online, so here's a SPOILER ALERT if you don't want to know the possible big events that might happen in James Gunn's highly-anticipated sequel.
Apparently, the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Junior Novel has been released as a Reditor shared information that the book mentions Starhawk, which is one of the members of the original 1969 Guardians of the Galaxy team from the comics (Gunn's film is based on the 2008 Marvel series).
The Reddit user shared an image from the novel showing an unnamed male character who might be Starhawk says "Aleta" and "Ogord".
In the comics, Aleta Ogord is the adoptive wife/sister to Stakar, aka Starhawk, also a member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy.
This could mean that the original Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in Vol. 2, but of course, there's a possibility that the Junior Novel is going off on its own, without any connection to the film at all.
Synopsis:
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to release in theaters on May 5, 2017.
