Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Connects With Doctor Strange in Credits

The Easter Eggs and little connections in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have started to appear as the movie rolls into theaters.

A new report via Comicbook.com has pointed out that Doctor Strange may have some connection with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 by way of a little teaser in one of the movie's many after-credits scenes.

Specifically, this character is Krugarr, the alien from the Lem race. He has already appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1, but his relation to Doctor Strange is rooted in Krugarr's time in the comics. Apparently, he had been trained by a future Doctor Strange, allowing Krugarr to take on the role of Sorcerer Supreme in is future era.

He appears to be on the side of good, as he will be using the mystic arts to battle villains including Dormammu.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Krugarr was a CGI character. And even though the only thing we see is his use of mystical abilities, this shows that he has already been under the tutelage of Doctor Strange. One technique for recall used here is the same visual effects that were used in the Doctor Strange movie.

How exactly this will affect the timeline and events in the MCU remains to be seen. But if we're talking about a future Doctor Strange included in the mix, and one that teaches the alien in the mystic arts could mean that the Sorcerer Supreme may even be using the time stone to gear up the ammo of Earth's protectors.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is already out in theaters.
