Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Will Be Out in 2017

Guardians of the Galaxy fans will not only look forward to the second installment of the movie next year. That's because Marvel has also teamed up with Telltale Games to bring yet another great title to the table.

The Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is set to deliver your favorite band of cosmic misfits to consoles, PC, and mobile in 2017. And given that it's the storytelling masters' work, fans can expect another episodic treatment for the game.

According to Marvel, the game will feature a five-part adventure wherein players can choose their main hero from the ragtag rogues in space.

"The energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork, and full-on sci-fi action-adventure of the Guardians provides an enormously satisfying space to explore through Telltale's unique style of interactive storytelling. We are always honored to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we've been developing when it premieres in 2017."

Marvel's Senior VP for Games and Innovation Jay Ong added that Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is meant to showcase the storytelling track record of both parties, which is why the game will be largely dominated and driven by its characters and narrative.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is also set to come to retail via a special season pass disc for all five episodes.
