Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Star Chris Pratt Wants Crossover With Kingpin

Marvel fans aren't the only ones hoping that the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe would somehow make a few crossovers with the studio's growing television universe – Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is hoping to have a certain Marvel Netflix series character make it to the big screen too.

Speaking in an interview with Screen Rant after this Marvel released the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Super Bowl trailer during the National Football League's championship game last weekend, Pratt revealed that he's hoping that Vincent D'Onofrio's stumpy Daredevil villain, Kingpin, might meet Star Lord on the big screen someday.

"Yes! There's so many! I don't know what's possible now that Marvel is under Disney and some Marvel characters are under different studios, some are in TV, and some are – I don't know how it works – I think it would be awesome for Star-Lord to meet Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin somehow. [Laughs] That would be awesome. I was always a fan of The Punisher. That was my dude who I loved growing up. I had the murals of him on my wall and stuff, so that would be pretty awesome. Maybe a little more moody than Quill. I don't know exactly how they would work together."

While having Kingpin on board with The Guardians and all of their cosmic shenanigans, it's interesting to see how even Pratt would be interested in having crossovers between the MCU and the Marvel Netflix television series. After all, theoretically all these characters are in one big Marvel Universe. It probably wouldn't be a problem to have Kingpin bump into Tom Holland's Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuts on the big screen on May 5 this year.
