Rockstar Games already announced Grand Theft Auto 6 earlier this year, but its release date may be further away than we expected. Various rumors have been circulating online that claim that GTA 6 could be released sometime in 2023 or 2024, but a recent earnings call from Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar's parent company) may suggest otherwise.

Speaking to investors, Take-Two Interactive shared its pipeline for FY2023 through FY2026. This means until April 2026, and there are numerous titles mentioned, but not GTA 6 nor any placeholder that seems like it could be GTA 6. Based on this, it looks like GTA 6 won't be released until April 2026 or beyond.

It's worth noting that the upcoming Bioshock game is also not included here, so this could mean that Take-Two Interactive is not planning to release it in this window, but given how long it's been in development, that would be unexpected. Bioshock not being here could change what we think about GTA 6 not being included in the pipeline, but there's no way to know for sure what this could mean at this point.

According to a rumor shared by insider Tez2, GTA 6 is only 12 to 18 months away from its launch, which would mean that it's expected to release sometime in 2023. The insider teased this information responding to rumors that the game was rebooted in 2020, which, if true, would mean that it's nowhere near complete. However, Tez2 claims that these rumors are false.
