Three new clips have been released for the upcoming episode of Gotham, titled Look Into My Eyes. It touches on the three developing stories that the latest season tackles in Gotham.
First, up is the unbelievable meet-up of Jim Gordon and Mario Falcone. We already knew that Dr. Lee Thompkins was going to have a new love interest, but we didn't know that it was going to be a fiancé and a fellow doctor.
So there he was, just stitching up Jim Gordon when he drops the bomb. That he loves his fiancé, Lee, very much. Gordon takes it all in with as much poise as you can with someone literally stitching your head up—how exactly can you say anything bad when you're in that position? But Gordon delivers the classic line that only Ben McKenzie can say flawlessly.
"If you ever were to hurt her, I would have to hunt you down and kill you."
Next up is Mad Hatter's sister Alice, who is trying to fight off a perverted landlord. He breaks down the door and asks her for rent which she doesn't have yet. Then he changes his tune and opts for a kiss and a good time from the "good girl." And what happens? Apparently, it will have been his last kiss.
Finally, the third teaser features Penguin. When former Mayor Aubrey James announces that he's stepping up again as Mayor of Gotham, Penguin challenges the idea by giving quite the impassioned speech.
He announces his candidacy for mayor and the crowd chants his name as he gives that very telling look at James. It's also where we get to see Valerie Vale doing her job as a reporter.
It's only the third episode of the new season, but we can already feel the tensions rising in all the many storylines.
Gotham airs every Monday at 9:00 p.m. on Fox.
