Goku May Be Getting A New Form in Dragon Ball Super Soon

Dragon Ball Super's Universal Survival arc is getting fans more hyped, and now, one of Toei Animation's producers has teased that Goku may be getting a new form soon.

Producer Hiroyuki Sakurada recently released a statement about a new key visual for Dragon Ball Super's Universal Survival arc. Sakurada seemed to refer to the poster and its look at Goku powering into what seems to be a new form. You can read the producer's translated comments below:

"The curtain finally rises on the Tournament of Power, where the strongest warriors in the history of Dragon Ball Super are gathering! The new key visual for the Tournament of Power is finally finished! It depicts Goku as he tries to break new ground in order to face off against the mightiest of foes in the midst of the fierce battle that is the Tournament of Power! What sort of formidable foes are in store?! How will Goku battle them?1 And what new ground will he break?! Don't miss Dragon Ball Super as the hype ramps up for the unprecedented battle that will unfold at the Tournament of Power!!"

According to translator Todd Blankenship, Sakurada does not literally say that Goku is getting a new form, but the "new ground" that he mentions is a huge hint

Here's the synopsis for Dragon Ball Super's Universal Survival arc:

"According to an invitation that Goku gets, Zen-Oh (Omni King) is starting a martial arts tournament between all the universes called "Chikara no Taikai" (Tournament of Power). But it is the beginning of universal destruction. Something awaits the winners and losers of this tournament. What will become of this fierce team battle between each universe's elite warriors?"
