Back in 2014, we saw the release of Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, and five years later, we are getting the sequel that promises even more classic movie Kaiju—Godzilla: King of Monsters. News has it that the movie has been delayed for two months, but the director does give us a tease on King Ghidorah.

As per the Hollywood Reporter, Godzilla 2 is moving from its original March 22 release date to May 31, 2019. No reason has been given as to why the movie has been delayed, but some think that this was done to move the film away from bigger competition like Avengers 4 (which comes out May 3) and Shazam! (coming April 5).

As for the King Ghidorah teaser, director Mike Dougherty gives us a look at Monster Zero:

Besides Ghidorah and Godzilla, the film also promises to bring us Mothra (a giant moth) and Rodan (a giant pterodactyl). All this will culminate to an all-out brawl between Godzilla and King Kong in Godzilla vs. Kong which comes out in 2020.

With Kong: Skull Island providing the hype for this monster universe, hopefully Legendary has found the perfect formula when it comes to making giant monster movies.

Godzilla: King of Monsters comes out May 31, 2019.
