Injustice 2 may be the long-awaited sequel to the successful endeavor that NetherRealm Studio had for the DC franchise. This sequel will introduce more characters, new gameplay mechanics, and new modes and worlds to explore.
However, if there's one thing that will remain the same, it's that it will have a tie-in mobile game, just like the first title. As a bonus, the studio has opened pre-registration. Technically it is a free-to-play title, but those who are interested in getting a head-start will have a nice bonus as a takeaway.
The official Injustice 2 Twitter page has announced that she will be the pre-register bonus—and it'll be a time-limited bonus that may not be offered later on:
"Consistently walking the line between hero and villain, this thieving feline's motives and loyalties keep you guessing. Due to her unique passive ability, Catwoman gains better rewards on Operations Missions."
As a teaser, here's Catwoman in action in the Injustice 2 mobile game. She goes head-to-head with Wonder Woman, Deadshot, and Cyborg, among others. There's a quick glimpse of customization in the Injustice 2 mobile, with the UI design quite different from how Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile looked. You also get to see her super move, where she basically drags and burns her enemies with her motorcycle.
Injustice 2 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16. The mobile counterpart will be out on Android and iOS on May 11. The pre-register will help you set your calendars, in case you forget.
