George Lucas Loves the Han Solo Comic So Much He Bought a Ridiculous Amount of Original Art

George Lucas must be a really big fan of Marvel's Han Solo comic because he wants to purchase every single page of original art from the first two issues. This was reported on Facebook by the artist behind the comic, Mark Brooks. "Got an e-mail last night from Lucasfilm saying that George Lucas would like to purchase every original page from Han Solo #1 and #2. Surreal is an understatement," he posted.

Star Wars: Han Solo is an ongoing Marvel miniseries that launched in June. It's set to be five issues. The writer Marjorie Liu, who is behind the original series Monstress and has written for Marvel titles like Astonishing X-Men. Mark Brooks, the artist, has worked on Cable & Deadpool and Ultimate X-Men.

The comic is set between Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. It focuses on Han Solo adjusting to being a part of the Rebel Alliance. The comic heavily involves Dragon Void Run, a dangerous race held across the Galaxy.

It's very rare for someone to buy every single page of an issue, even if they love the comic. Usually one or pages is considered enough. But George Lucas can obviously afford to buy it all and he must really love the comic if he's doing so. That's as good a reason as any to check the comic out!
