Game of Thrones Will Have Longer Season 7 Premiere Episode

The HBO Original title may be cutting its run shorter for this coming season and the next. However, that doesn't mean that the experience would be any less.

Just recently, we learned that a couple of Game of Thrones actors are seeing themselves and working harder during tapes and being on camera more often this season. Now, there's another aspect of the series that surpasses previous expectations: Game of Thrones' season 7 will premiere with a long episode.

It's so long, it's the longest episode following the 62-minute run of the pilot. According to The Sun, the expected run time of the season 7 premiere is somewhere around 59 minutes.

This means that the newest trailer is just a taste of what's to come for the new season. It does pose the question of whether longer episode formats will become a thing for the shortened season.

I'm pretty sure none of the fans will be against the idea of longer episodes, if that means we'll be seeing alliances' stories fleshed out. In the trailer, it's pretty clear that the camps are divided with their own respective characters and allegiances gearing up to push their bet for the winner of the Game towards the Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones will be back on HBO this July.
