Game Of Thrones' Syrio Forel Actor Was Almost A Villain For Flash Season 4

Game of Thrones fans may not have seen Syrio Forel since the first season of the show, but a lot of fans still remember his quote about what to say to the god of death. As it turns out, Syrio's actor Miltos Yerolemou came very close to playing the main villain for the fourth season of The CW's The Flash.

During Con of Thrones in Nashville (via ComicBook), Yerolemou said that he was asked to read a part for the next season of The Flash with the tagline of the season being ‘The Fastest Man Alive vs. The Fastest Brain Alive.' The casting director was said to have given Yerolemou three pages of Roman trivia to read and memorize; Yerolemou didn't get the part.

A lot of people think the part Yerolemou read for will be The Thinker who was a villain for Jay Garrick's Flash. Since Jay Garrick very well exists in The CW's Arrowverse, it's possible that this version of the Thinker could come from Garrick's Earth. Then again, it's possible that the showrunners will make some changes with his origin—whatever makes a good story.

As for Game of Thrones, a lot of people are still convinced that Yerolemou's Syrio Forel somehow managed to survive his attack from season one. That's ridiculously optimistic counting that the show is never shy when it comes to killing of fan-favorite characters.

Will we be seeing Syrio Forel make a return? Not today.

The fourth season of The Flash premieres Oct. 10 on The CW.
