Game of Thrones Star Also in the Dark About Show’s Ending

If there was ever a show that had fans always rabid for new leaks and information, it would have to be Game of Thrones.

But for actor Kit Harrington, known for his role as Jon Snow, there's something about not knowing what happens next that gives it a thrill of its own. Speaking to Moviefone, he describes the current state of the series' production as amazing.

"Everyone's been wondering how it's going to end, and what's going to happen right from the get-go, and theorizing about it. It's really exciting to me not knowing, genuinely having no idea where it's going to end, what they've got in their heads, and being the first to find out."

This seems easy enough when he already acted out what happens next, while we fans have to wait a few more months. But then again, he's operating similarly to all of us, given that author George R.R. Martin hasn't continued the script just yet. Still, Harrington says that the show isn't hindered by this at all.

"It's just amazing, in some ways, having no book to go on, because the scripts come through and you're completely in the dark about what they're going to do. Believe me, I just finished Season Seven, and I'm already counting down the days until I get the Season Eight scripts."

It seems that the only thing that's set in stone in Game of Thrones is that nothing in the production really is. All Harrington knows is where Jon Snow is in the seventh season. Next season can bring changes or not—though based on his statement, we know that he won't be one of the losses for this season—and all he can really do is give the role justice when he comes onscreen again.
