Game of Thrones Showrunner Teases This Game-Changing Arrival

For a show that opened up with debauchery, twincest, and attempted murder for its first episode, you'd think it's hard to step up its game after a run of six seasons. That's far from the case for Game of Thrones--and apparently, more so now that before because of one event.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss shared that the arrival of the Mother of Dragons will definitely change everything about where the show is headed.

"Dany in Westeros makes Game of Thrones a new show. It has this amazing ripple effect throughout every storyline that's very exciting to explore. There's a pace and urgency that's very palpable. This is the end game."

This isn't surprising considering what she's bringing with her. Apart from her fleet of the Unsullied and the men and women who are pretty much the scorned but most sly and resourceful in the world of Game of Thrones, she also has her dragons. That and the White Walkers are pretty much the big drivers of the battlefield at the moment.

Weiss added that there will be interactions between characters that haven't been done before. It would be interesting to see how these interactions will contribute to the storyline, because Game of Thrones has always had a reputation of introducing only the most crucial bits and scenes into the show.

We'll finally get to see hell break loose with the Dragons, among others, when Game of Thrones arrives on HBO this July.
