Game of Thrones Season 7 To Feature Power Struggle Between Sansa And Jon

Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) may have had a touching reunion with her half-brother Jon (Kit Harrington) during the last season of Game of Thrones, however, now that the fantasy epic series is heading towards its seventh season on HBO, it looks like fans might see a little competition between the two.

Jon and Sansa are two very different people and now that the they're both occupying positions of power, it seems like there might be more than just a little sibling rivalry between the two Starks.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harrington discussed the status of his relationship with Sansa in the seventh season of Game of Thrones.

"There is definite tension between them right from the first scene. There are the same problems — she questions his decisions and command; he doesn't listen to her. But as far as where that goes or takes them or how dark it can get, we'll see. It gets past sibling squabbling, it gets into two people power struggling."

Though Jon has been crowned as the King of the North, Sansa still has a right to rule and things won't be easy with Jon dealing with the shift from bastard to King of the North and Sansa working out her alliance with Littlefinger. Let's see how this plays out when Game of Thrones returns.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres on July 16 on HBO.
