Game of Thrones' Jorah Mormont Talks About His Character's Uncertain Fate

We already know that HBO's Game of Thrones is notorious for killing major characters, and with the series entering its final two seasons, and there's only a handful of them who managed to escape death. For Jorah Mormont (played by Iain Glen), it looks like his time is almost up.

During an interview with Stuff.co, Ian Glen discussed his work on Jack Taylor. Of course, he also talked about his character Ser Jorah Mormont, and he hinted that his character might die soon.

"I've always enjoyed playing Jorah. It's been a role that's been good to me so far," Glen said. "There's quite a high death count in Game Of Thrones and they don't blanch at removing favorite characters. They just get rid of them in a brutal way. My end may well be close but so far I'm doing OK."

We still don't know any concrete plot details about the upcoming penultimate season, but if Jorah ends up dying next season, it won't be that shocking.

Back in Seson 5, Jorah was inflicted with a fatal disease known as Greyscale which has no known cure, and in the sixth season, Dany commanded Jorah to find a cure for himself and return to her. Jorah will probably find a cure but it's possible that he'll die protecting Dany against Cersei's forces or the White Walkers.
