It looks like Game of Thrones is going to throw its ensemble to places they've never been before as the popular fantasy epic approaches its eighth and final season on HBO.
Sitting down to speak in an interview with TV Guide, Game of Thrones star John Bradley decided to talk about what fans might expect when the series returns to air its last batch of episodes.
"Each of the characters this year is placed in a completely alien environment at some point in the season that they've never been placed in before. The thrill is seeing how they react to it and how they respond… This season, I think more than any other, is stretching these characters."
Game of Thrones pushing its characters to the edge doesn't sound like much of a surprise, given that the series is approaching its last season. Winter has come, and the different contenders for the iron throne will have to deal with the biggest threat of them all – the Night King and his army of undead. With so much at stake, it's easy to expect Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and the rest of the characters to be thrown into situations they've never been in before. Even Sam Tarly, Bradley's bookish character.
Game of Thrones season 8 is expected to premiere sometime 2018 or 2019.
