Gal Gadot Had To Read Pulp Fiction For Her Audition As Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot has proven herself to be the perfect fit for Wonder Woman, wowing fans and audiences with her stellar performance in both Batman v Superman and her own titular solo movie, Wonder Woman.

Though the DC Extended Universe has been having a hard time getting on its feet, there's been a lot of love going around for Wonder Woman and the other characters in Warner Bros. burgeoning superhero franchise. The studio really hit the jackpot when they cast Gadot as Diana Prince, but did you know that the Israeli actress had o read scenes from Pulp Fiction to get the part?

Appearing on Variety's Actors on Actors, Gadot decided to talk about what her initial audition was like. Facing fellow actor Kumail Nanjiani, the DCEU star revealed that instead of receiving a script for Batman v Superman or character details about the role she was going to play, Gadot was asked to read a few scenes from Pulp Fiction.

"One week before I did the camera test with Ben (Affleck) I was like, ‘What's going on?'" They told me they wanted to fly me to L.A. I was like, ‘Great! But what is it?' And then Zack Snyder, our director, called me and said it was for Wonder Woman."

Sure, Justice League didn't turn out to be the success that everyone had been hoping for, but fans have been loving the film's casting. Diana's popularity will most certainly help propel Gadot to the front of the plans Warner Bros. has for the DCEU.

Justice League is currently screening in cinemas.
