Funko Releases Stranger Things Collectibles

There's still a lot of waiting for the next season of Stranger Things. But the wait may be a little shorter, now that Funko has announced its line of Funko toys for the Netflix Original show.

Funko has already announced that next year, there will be seven characters (and some respective variants) coming for the Stranger Things Funko collection.

Funko Director of Marketing Mark Robben shared that the arrival of the new collection was all thanks to the fans efforts. The announcement followed the reveal of concept Funko images of Eleven and Barb in September. These became trending in social media and generated a good amount of interest.

"Bringing Stranger Things to Funko is symbolic of our connection to our customers as mutual fans of pop culture. We feel grateful for the privilege to create our version of these wonderful characters, but we never forget it starts with the collectors. These figures would not have been possible without every single shar, like, and comment from you. Friends don't lie."

Eleven has two versions, the one sporting her cropped hair and having just used her powers; the other is probably her look from that "Pretty' scene with the blond wig. Both versions have her wearing the pink dress and blue jacket and holding her favorite Eggos.

The gang is all complete with Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will. The Demargogon is also present, but it has two versions. There's the one with its head closed to hide its creepy mouth, so it looks almost like a mummy monster. The other version has its flower-like head opened and just as equally creepy.

Finally, Barb fans out there can pay tribute to her character with her own Funko collectible. She sports her classic ‘do, glasses, mom jeans, and her books. There's also an Upside Down Will version (a Hot Topic Exclusive). And finally, there's an Eleven Underwater Funko, but it's still marked "Coming Soon!"

For those who are interested, the Funko Stranger Things figures are already available for preorder. They will be on shelves sometime in early 2017 for $9.999 apiece. Like other Funko Pop! figures, this are vinyl collectibles stand at 3 to 4 inches high in its usual windowed display box.
