Fun Video Explains Why Magneto Can Never Exist In The MCU

MCU fans have been distraught by the rivalry between Fox and Marvel, with Marvel seemingly wanting to share characters like they did with Sony, but Fox refusing and keeping the X-Men universe to themselves. Dorkly has come up with a fun video on why characters from Fox—specifically Magneto—can’t be in the MCU. It’s a good spot of fun:

With Magneto’s powers over metal, it’s astounding how he hasn’t been able to destroy the X-Men completely like he did with the Avengers in this video. Even Hulk, who doesn’t have an ounce of metal on him, refuses to attack Magneto because he’s a Holocaust survivor.

Then again, looking back at the X-Men movies, despite his power, Magneto seems to be sparing the X-Men since they are his fellow mutants. The only time we really see Magneto doing terrible things is when he does it to homo sapiens, who in turn have gave him a very hard life.

As of now, Magneto is expected to return in the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix, but with the movie ending with him and Charles seemingly building new bridges, I doubt Fox can come up with a good reason to make Magneto “evil” again.

Here’s the synopsis for Dark Phoenix:

Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is slated for a release on Nov. 2, 2018.
