It's pretty common knowledge that Frozen was one of the biggest hits for Disney, so it's not really a surprise that the movie will be getting a sequel. After months of speculation and theorizing, the movie finally has an official release date.
And the release date is on: November 27, 2019
Even Olaf voice actor Josh Gad is in on the news:
Granted that's all we have for now. There isn't any official synopsis or storyline that we can build up on. A lot of rumors have come up about the movie though, ranging from Olaf turning into a human as well as Elsa coming out as a lesbian.
Seeing that Disney Animation is currently undergoing some sort of "revival" ever since the release of Tangled, I'm pretty confident that the story developers will bring us something totally touching and original.
To be honest, I think Disney Animation is even getting ahead of Pixar. The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory were good movies on their own, but they don't hold a candle to hits like Zootopia and Wreck-It Ralph — then again, that's just my opinion. Did I mention that an upcoming Pixar movie, Coco, is getting a lot of flak for looking too much like The Book of Life? Yeah, you should check that out.
Frozen 2 is slated for a release on Nov. 27, 2019.
