As part of the 2016 announcement for downloadable content for Star Wars Battlefront, Electronic Arts and DICE are delivering the first major free update for the game this year on Wednesday, bringing a batch of udpates to the gameplay and a few requested additions to the experience.

The major updates of Battlefront in today's patch include the ability for players to set up private matches, while new daily challenges have also been added to the game to motivate players to return each day to tackle new goals.

Players will now also be able to control Han Solo and Luke Skywalker on Hoth maps with new costumes that come from their looks in The Empire Strikes Back, while the Tatooine survival map now supports more modes like Blast, Droid Run, and Hero Hunt.

There are some changes to the game's vehicles, weapons, star cards, and modes to enhance the gameplay experience.
