Fox's The Gifted has been renewed for a second season, pleasing many fans who have been enjoying the X-Men spin-off. The series has been getting rave reviews, so seeing it get renewed for another season isn't too surprising, though it might be to those that thought Disney's buyout would lead to the show getting cancelled.
While The Gifted has gone through a bit of a rating slump after its debut, the reviews for the show have remained positive. Critics and fans alike praise the show for expanding on the X-Men lore without having to resort to superpowered beatdowns, though it still has that once in a while. It's clear that Fox has high hopes on the show, though the low rating might indicate that this will be the last season, which is admittedly just speculation at this point.
