Fox is Making an Action Movie About Stan Lee

Twentieth Century Fox has bought Stan Lee's life rights and intend to use them to make a action-adventure movie set in the 1970's, The Hollywood Reporter reveals. Yes, really. They're going to make Stan Lee an action hero.

Stan Lee has already made cameos in countless Marvel movies. He's well known for being the co-creator of most of Marvel's famous superheroes, including Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four and The X-Men. While he does write about action, you wouldn't really associate Stan Lee with "action star".

But that may be about to change. Fox plans for Lee to be the main character in an action adventure movie set in the 1970s. It's described as much like The Kingsman. The type of hero the studio is going for is described as "Moore-era James Bond", a "dapper" hero who "quipped one-liners" and "flirted with ladies" as he "sparred with larger-than-life evildoers."

Presumably, the 93-year-old Stan Lee won't be playing himself in the movie. However we might see Stan Lee cameo in a movie...about Stan Lee. We live in wild times.

What do you think of the news? Did it break your brain? Would you see such a film?
