First Trailer For Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Released

Sony Pictures and Marvel have released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the first animated feature film featuring the web-slinging superhero. The trailer features Spidey (Mike Morales version) in various spectacular shots that show off the film's unique animation style.

The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse trailer debuted at Comic Con Experience 2017 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Watch it here:

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is being directed by Peter Ramsay and Bob Persichetti and written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie). Spider-Man, a.k.a. Mike Morales is being voiced by Shameik Moore; The Prowler is being voiced by Masherhala Ali; Jefferson Davis is being voiced by Brian Tyree Henry. Lieve Schrieber has also joined the cast of the film.

The film's Into the Spider-Verse subtitle is based on the 2014 Spider-Verse Marvel Comics event, which saw the villain Morlun and his family, the Inheritors, trying to kill every Spider character from across the Marvel Multiverse. The Spider-Man heroes from every universe had to team up together to defend themselves.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is set to release in theaters on December 14, 2018.
