The Wachowskis, creators of The Matrix Trilogy, Cloud Atlas, and Jupiter Ascending, have an exciting new original series coming to Netflix called Sense8, and the first trailer has been released. Although their last couple of films didn't do so well in the box office (Cloud Atlas was so underrated!). Here's the synopsis:

One moment links 8 minds in disparate parts of the world, putting 8 strangers in each other's lives, each other's secrets, and in terrible danger.

That sounds exciting, and I'm sure there's going to be a lot of plot twists and mind-fuck moments in this series. I admire the kinds of projects the Wachowskis make: They are intelligent, unique, and deeper than most mainstream science fiction films, so I'm definitely going to devour 12 episodes of this show when it comes out on June 5.

The trailer features a lot of intriguing footage that reveal the eight strangers' supernatural connection. Surprisingly, unlike Wachowskis' films, this trailer doesn't show a lot of visual effects, which is fine but I expect to see a lot of crazy spectacles in this series.

The international cast includes Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen and Max Riemelt. Also, Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews, Terrence Mann, Freema Agyeman, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro, Ness Bautista and Joe Pantoliano.
