First Photos For M. Night Shyamalan's Glass Reveal Bruce Willis, James McAvoy & Samuel L. Jackson in Group Therapy

M. Night Shyamalan's sequel to Unbreakable and Split, Glass is coming, and thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally got our first photos from the highly-anticipated film.

In the photos below, you'll see the return of Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Glass, and James McAvoy as the multi-personality Kevin Crumb. There's also a look at Anya Taylor Joy as Casey and Sarah Paulson as a new character, Doctor Ellie Staple. When talking about her role in the film, Shyamalan said:

"She deals with people that think they're comic-book characters. It's kind of the modern-day equivalent of 'I think I'm Jesus' or 'I'm an emperor.'"

McAvoy also revealed that the film will also "spend some time with some people that live inside Kevin." The first photo below features the three main characters in a psychiatric ward, and it looks like the story will go in an unexpected direction and it would be interesting to see how they will collide. Shyamalan went on to say:

"Eighteen years ago I had this idea: What if comic books were based on reality? I tried to tell the story of superheros in the real world with David Dunn. Then two years ago, I got another crazy notion: What if the afflictions and disorders that everyone in society thinks make a person bad were actually gifts? And I created the origin story for an anarchist who could be good or bad."

Glass picks up right where Split, the McAvoy-led horror thriller left off. In this sequel, Dunn is chasing after Kevin's superhuman figure The Beast "in a series of escalating encounters." Meanwhile, Mr. Glass, who "holds secrets critical to both men," suddenly shows up.

The director also announced that his superhero thriller film will have a Hall H panel featuring the cast at this year's San Diego Comic-Con on July 20.

Glass is set to release in theaters on January 18, 2019.
