First Look At Sir Paul McCartney In Pirates Of The Caribbean 5

Keith Richards made a cameo in previous Pirates of the Caribbean movies as Jack Sparrow's estranged father, but it looks like the franchise is bringing in another rock and roll legend to hang with the crew. We now have a first image of Sir Paul McCartney — yes, the one from The Beatles — in full pirate garb.

Check it out:

When creating Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp has said he drew inspiration from famous musician Keith Richards because that he thinks pirates were like the rock stars of their time. It's kind of interesting that we get to see more actual rock stars appear in the movie. Are we also going to get a cameo from Ringo Starr?

As of now, McCartney is listed as Jail Guard 2 on IMDb, but since he is wearing full pirate gear, it's possible that he may be playing someone else. Either way, I'm excited.

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors led by his old nemesis, the evil Capt. Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle. Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales comes out May 26.
