Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be out in just a few days but if you want to know what the film's opening is like, here are some first impressions from someone who had seen the first 13 minutes of the film.
Disney and Lucasfilm recently had a special screening in Tokyo to show members of the press the first 13 minutes of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and according to IGN Japan's chief editor Daniel Robson, the opening scene is intense and fans would probably laugh.
"The opening scene is a real rush – the film kicks into bombastic action fast, and there is some humor in there too," Robson tweeted.
Rian Johnson told him that the opening scene "sets the tone for the whole movie."
That's exciting to know. We still don't exactly how the film's opening scene will play out but it will most likely involve Finn (John Boyega) waking up in medias res of a battle between The Resistance and the First Order. I could see Finn's early scenes having some humor just like his scenes in The Force Awakens.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15, 2017.
