First Details For Marvel's 'Most Wanted' TV Series Tease Big Changes

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off series, Most Wanted, is coming this year, and it focuses on Adrianne Palicki's character, Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter. Marvel released its official synopsis, and it teases a world where Bobbi and Lance are on the run with no one to trust, or "no SHIELD" to support them.

Here's the official synopsis (via Deadline):

[Marvel'sMost Wanted] centers on Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune (Delroy Lindo), a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and series writer Paul Zbyszewski wrote the pilot episode, and if a full season for the show is confirmed, Zbyszewski will take on the role of showrunner.

Having not seen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I just don't see the appeal of Most Wanted's premise. I get that people are more inclined to watch procedurals and crime shows on TV, but nothing in the synopsis or images excite me at all. But I'll probably watch the pilot and hope that it would change my mind.

Marvel's Most Wanted pilot is set to air later in 2016.
