More "lesser known" heroes have been making their way into the Injustice 2 roster like Swamp Thing and Dr. Fate. Thanks to UpUpDownDown on Youtube, we now have a first look at another playable character, Firestorm a.k.a. The Nuclear Man.

Fast-forward to 7:40 for the actual reveal.

The show was actually lucky enough to try out Firestorm in NetherRealms studio along with Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon. Firestorm's skillset specializes in ranged fire attacks, and die-hard DC fans are sure to be happy to have him getting more attention lately.

Though not as popular as Superman or Batman, Firestorm has been a longtime fan favorite, and he's been introduced to The CW DC universe, played by Franz Drameh in DC's Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash.

Like many of the other characters in the roster, being a playable character in Injustice 2 is sure to get Firestorm some much needed attention.

The line between hero and villain has become blurred as the most epic battle in the DC universe rages on in Injustice 2. While Batman has emerged the victor in his battle against the Regime, a new threat arises and poses the ultimate threat to Earth.

Injustice 2 is set for a release on May 16.
