Suicide Squad may have been a critical bomb, but David Ayer's Netflix movie Bright is looking to be one fascinating film. The movie comes out in a few weeks, and we have a final trailer highlighting on the movie's elf villain.

Set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been co-existing since the beginning of time. Bright is genre-bending action movie that follows two cops from very different backgrounds. Ward (Will Smith) and Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), embark on a routine patrol night and encounter a darkness that will ultimately alter the future and their world as they know it.

I'll admit, the movie does look a lot like Suicide Squad, but the most striking thing about the movie is probably the world that it will introduce. We've been seeing magic creatures live in the modern day in movies like Hellboy or Harry Potter, but we've never really seen them interacting and co-existing with humans.

I was even going to point out how this movie was Training Day with fantasy creatures, but as it turns out, it was actually Ayer himself who wrote that movie. Bright, however, is written by Chronicle's Max Landis.

Bright hits Netflix Dec. 22.
