Final Fantasy XV Update Will Hand Over Camera to Players

If you've already put down Final Fantasy XV for a mighty break from the game, you may want to mark Jan. 24 as a possible return point.

Square Enix has provided some details on the additional content coming to the game. One major feature is the ability to start taking photographs yourself, instead of letting Prompto always take the lens.

This new feature will arrive alongside the new Holiday pack. According to the translation from Siliconera, the new feature is the self-photography function, which will let players take photographs at any other time whenever one is engaged in battles.

The Holiday Pack free version update is available to all. It will bring the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, and introduce a Choco T-shirt for Noctis, and photo frames for the Holiday Pack free version exclusive set.

For those who are paying a little extra for the Holiday Pack+ Update will get the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, the Noctis-only Festive Ensemble costume, and the Holiday+ Pack exclusive photo frames.

The lined-up activities for the game is far from being a hefty expansion. Previously, gamers have found a way to break free from the linear exploration that the game has, and saw that there's a whole new world waiting to be explored. The question is when Square Enix is planning to roll out an update that can truly deliver an open-world experience as promised.

Final Fantasy XV is already out on the PS4 and Xbox One.
