Final Fantasy XV Soundtrack Limited Edition Details Revealed

Square Enix has released the details for the limited edition version of the Final Fantasy XV original soundtrack.

Over at the Square Enix Online Store, fans can now see what bonuses are included, starting with the fact that it's not a CD but rather one that require a Blu-Ray disc player.

"The Blu-ray music disc was selected in order to showcase beautiful graphics that utilize the latest technology, a feature of Final Fantasy games, along with the music! The disc also includes mp3 files so the tracks can also be played on a portable music device!"

The Final Fantasy XV limited first run edition soundtrack will feature the bonus tracks. There's the behind-the-scenes recording session for Florence + the Machine for theme song, Stand by Me.

There's also a Blu-ray disc featuring the songs that Noctis and the gang listen to in the Regalia. This means more than 250 tracks from the Final Fantasy series, which makes it the biggest Blu-ray disc soundtrack for Square Enix to date.

There's also a piano arrangement CD where several tracks from the game were selected to be piano arrangements. The limited edition also features a special Booklet that contains liner notes and a discussion with the main composer Yoko Shimomura and his production team. Finally, this booklet will also showcase as its cover the Big Bang artwork cover from Yoshitaka Amano.

The Final Fantasy XV original soundtrack limited edition disc is a pretty sweet addition for your FF collection. It's already available for preorder for $109.99, and will earn you 40 Reward Points when you purchase it via the Square Enix Online Store. The pegged release date is on Dec. 21, 2016.
