Final Fantasy XV Road Trip Lets You Explore Parts of the World Before Launch

There is still a good six or so weeks away from the Final Fantasy XV launch. However, for fans who are eager to check out the fun before the release date, Square Enix is yet again showcasing a new promo-slash-experience that will deliver this promise.

Dubbed the Final Fantasy XV Road Trip, the new event is in tandem with Amazon.

"Join Noctis and his crew on an epic journey with the Final Fantasy XV Road Trip. Fight, fish, and cast epic summons to take down ferocious enemies. It's your chance to get into the world of Final Fantasy XV before anyone else."

It's also a way for players to earn exclusive in-game DLC. Basically, the trailer is inviting players to preorder the game via Amazon to get the Golden Chocobo Regalia skin.

There's a new website, seen here, which will serve as a sort of guide through the quests.

From there, the succeeding weeks towards the launch date will allow players to engage in a few quests. These include the Reapertail Battle for Week 1, Cast a Line for Week 2, and Boss Fight for the third week. Completing the challenges means players get to move closer to winning in-game DLCs.

The in-game items include the Blazefire Saber from Final Fantasy XIII, the Mage Mashers from Final Fantasy IX, and the Gae Bolg from Final Fantasy XIV. There are also a couple of kits up for grabs—emphasis on Prompto's camera kit.

Successfully going through the three-week bonus quests will allow players to win a digital guide, which has a lot of insights and information about the Niflheim army.

Square Enix is doing some pretty hard marketing right now, given the ongoing Moogles Twitter contest also leading towards launch. But I guess this is a matter of add-on priorities, since the Road Trip experience seems to be exclusive to Amazon preorders.

Final Fantasy XV will finally arrive on the PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 29.
