Final Fantasy XV Featurette Introduces Stellar English Voice Cast

Square Enix has released a new video that introduces the voice actors for Final Fantasy XV.

The video, seen above, not only shows how each voice actor thinks about his or her character, but also treats a few cutscenes of Final Fantasy XV.

Ray Chase: Noctis Lucis Caelum
Jim Pirri: King Regis Lucis Caelum
Robbie Daymond: Prompto Argentum
Adam Croasdell: Ignis Scientia
Chris Parson: Gladiolus Amicitia
Amy Shiels: Lunafreya Nox Fleuret
Darin De Paul: Ardyn Izunia
Matthew Mercer: Cor Leonis

What I appreciate about the voice actors is that they seem to know a lot and are invested heavily on the characters they are portraying.

“What’s interesting about Noctis is he’s not your average ordinary prince who goes on to save the world. He definitely doesn’t go into it because he wants to. He’s going into it because all of this is forced upon him out of nowhere. Over the course of the game, he learns what it is to be a hero. He learns humanity through the course of this game—he loses a lot, too.”

I have to say, the choice for King Regis sounds very perfect. Croasdell does have that very intellectual protector air about his voice, which I think fits Ignis.

What’s more, each one of voice actors seem to fit their respective parts well enough. And that’s coming from someone who has two of the four mainstays as her seiyuu bias in animes.
