As impressive as the Nintendo Switch has been, there are still some games that have yet to arrive on the platform. And Final Fantasy XV is still among that list.
However, in a recent interview with Hajime Tabata, Polygon unearthed a few of the director's plans for the game—and the possibility of the studio working with the hybrid handheld sometime in the future.
Tabata had confirmed that their goal was to explore more ways by which they can deliver an advanced technological approach to Final Fantasy XV beyond a re-porting. While that in itself already disregards possibilities of a Nintendo Switch debut given the lower technology that it entails, it calls the mind the interesting aspect of the handheld as a hybrid.
"I'm really interested in coming up with ideas and how to capitalize on that technolgooy and how to create the best experience possible on the technology… While I may not be working on anything for it at this point in time, a lot of people on the staff are really interested in the Switch. Myself included!"
Tabata also dubs the Nintendo Switch as a dream machine, thanks to its ability to accomplish several tasks despite being just one machine.
Final Fantasy XV may not see a debut on the Nintendo Switch, but it would be interesting to see where Tabata and the developer's hard work will land in a few years from now.
