Final Fantasy XV Director Affirms Patches to Fix Bugs

Square Enix has already delayed Final Fantasy XV to ensure that the game is at its most optimum for the new release date. However, players have been seeing quite a number of bugs in the demo alone, which has started to make fans worry.

Game Director Hajime Tabata has taken to Twitter to appease fans and give them an idea of what the team will be doing from here on. Compiled and translated by Gematsu, the series of tweets has Tabata thanking fans for playing the demo and updating them that the team is already fixing them and creating an update.

From the looks of it, the patch that the team had tried to avoid may actually be an inevitable part of release.

"We took two months to completely get rid of bugs as not to obstruct everyone who purchases the game from playing it and reaching the ending. The fact that we are getting high praise for the demo can be said to be the fruit of our labor. Even so, while it is difficult to fix everything down to the smallest bugs, we will deal with it via an amendment patch. Since it is impossible to get rid of the bugs in an open-world game in short time with our current technology, please understand that we will fix them at a steady pace."

For those who were still not able to access the Platinum Demo, which was distributed alongside the Judgment Disc, there's still time. Square Enix extended the deadline following fan feedback and request. It will now be available until the end of the year instead of the week-long availability.

Final Fantasy XV will be out on Nov. 29 on the Xbox One and PS4.
