Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report Confirms Data Lock Phase, New Screenshots

Square Enix held an Active Time event for Final Fantasy XV, and it features quite the confirmation from game director Hajime Tabata.

A sizable amount of information can be seen in via GamesTalk, but Twitter user @MoogleKupoCake who brings the latest on Square Enix's titles and Final Fantasy XV translated the major announcement, seen in the tweet below:

This is essentially good news for fans who may be fearing yet another delay following news that patches are still being considered once the game is released.

Granted, this announcement doesn't mean that the game has already gone gold. But it does solidify that the game is ever so closely inching its ways towards completion. As far as what was showcased, it seems that Tabata and the rest of the team developing the game already see it as the work that they had wanted to create.

According to @MoogleKupoCake, the data lock version is supposed to be identical to what will be appearing on the disc version. It's already being sent to both Sony and Microsoft for certification, though the team is still continuing with bug fixing.

The Twitter tipster also gave some more sneak peeks, such as this tweet on the comparison between the Episode Duscae version and the latest version on the PS4. Note that this is not yet the PS4 Pro version of Final Fantasy XV.

In addition, there are also some sneak peeks of the game, particularly new screenshots showing off the forests and the structures in the Final Fantasy XV world.

Finally, there's a huge screenshot dump of what transpired during the ATR. Over at MoogleKupoCake's Facebook, we see screenshots of the developers, some character stills, some food shots featuring the characters' food choices, a track listing of the original drive music, and a disc cover.

It looks like Final Fantasy XV will be heading towards the final stretch to meet its Nov. 29 launch date on the PS4 and Xbox One.
